Parenting Coach
The Parenting Coach Provides Support for the Parent
The Parenting Coach is the supervisor of the child's dedicated learning team. They unify your team by communicating with both you and your student's Academic Coach by phone and email. Together, they monitor the student's progress and make adjustments where necessary.
However, the Parenting Coach's main purpose is to provide parenting help by answering any questions you have about your student's progress. Offering support and encouragement, they will help you to identify ways to support your student and keep you involved in his/her academic development. The Parenting Coach is there for you in the same way that your child's Academic Coach is there for them, providing one-on-one caring assistance.
Because our parenting coaches are former educators and previous Academic Coaches, they are an invaluable component of the learning team. Many parents find that their coaches play a critical role in "backing them up," reinforcing their credibility as a parent and emphasizing their authority when the child challenges it.
